Ingredients

12 fresh jalapeño peppers

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp salt

1 egg, beaten (optional for breading)

Olive oil spray or cooking spray

Instructions

Prepare the Jalapeños: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). While it heats, wash the jalapeños and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the seeds and membranes using a small spoon to make space for the filling. (Use gloves if possible to avoid irritation!)

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined and creamy.

Stuff the Jalapeños: Using a small spoon or a piping bag, generously fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, ensuring it’s heaped over the top for a nice presentation.

Prepare for Air Frying: If you’re using breadcrumbs, dip the stuffed jalapeños in beaten egg (optional) for better adherence, then roll or sprinkle them with breadcrumbs to coat.

Air Fry: Lightly spray the jalapeño poppers with olive oil or cooking spray. Arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until the jalapeños are tender and the tops are golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Carefully remove the poppers from the air fryer and let them cool slightly for a few minutes. Serve warm. You can pair them with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch or sour cream, for an added burst of flavor.
