Ingredients

1 package (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Optional: fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Add the Fillings: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about half an inch of border along the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, followed by the sliced pepperoni and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with dried oregano and garlic powder for extra flavor.

Roll It Up: Carefully roll the dough tightly, starting from one long edge to the other, ensuring the fillings stay inside. Pinch the seams well to seal.

Slice the Rolls: Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the roll into 1-inch thick pieces. You should get about 12-15 rolls.

Create Egg Wash: In a small bowl, whisk the beaten egg. Brush the tops of each roll with the egg wash to give them a golden-brown finish when baked.

Bake the Rolls: Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are puffed up and golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm with additional marinara sauce for dipping. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
