Cheesy Turkey and Broccoli Casserole

1 lb (450g) ground turkey

4 cups fresh broccoli florets (or frozen, thawed)

1 cup cooked brown rice (or quinoa for a healthier option)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1 cup cream of mushroom soup (or homemade)

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

1 teaspoon paprika (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.

    Cook the Turkey: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Break it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

      Season the Meat: Once the turkey is cooked, stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

        Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked turkey, broccoli florets, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until everything is evenly coated and mixed together.

          Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the turkey and broccoli mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
