Ingredients

2 cans (each 16.5 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and separate each roll. Cut each roll into quarters to create bite-sized pieces.

Mix the Sugars and Cinnamon: In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Coat the Dough Pieces: Add the quartered cinnamon roll pieces to the sugar and cinnamon mixture, tossing until each piece is well coated.

Create the Butter Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined. If using nuts, add them to this mixture for added crunch.

Assemble the Monkey Bread: Grease a bundt pan or a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet. Layer half of the cinnamon roll pieces in the pan, followed by half of the butter mixture, then repeat with the remaining cinnamon roll pieces and butter mixture. Make sure everything is evenly distributed.

Bake: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the dough is cooked through.

Cool: Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Invert and Serve: Carefully invert the monkey bread onto a serving plate. If desired, sprinkle powdered sugar over the top for a sweet finishing touch.

Enjoy: Pull apart the gooey, sweet pieces of monkey bread while it’s still warm. Perfect for sharing at brunch or dessert!
