12 oz (340g) pasta of your choice (farfalle or penne work well)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, diced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Cook the Pasta: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of the pasta water.

    Sauté Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
