Frozen Caramel Banana Oat Squares

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate (optional)

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

    Add the rolled oats, cinnamon, and salt to the banana mixture. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly mixed. If you’re using chocolate or nuts, fold them in at this stage.

      Line an 8x8-inch (or similar-sized) baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

        Pour the oat mixture into the lined baking dish, spreading it evenly using a spatula. Press it down firmly to create an even layer.

          Place the baking dish in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until the mixture is set and firm.

            Once frozen, remove the oat square from the dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares or bars of your desired size.

              Store the cut squares in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. Enjoy them straight from the freezer for a refreshing treat!
