For the Chicken:

1 lb chicken tenders

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying

For the Waffles:

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 tablespoon sugar

½ teaspoon salt

1 ¼ cups milk

1 large egg

½ cup melted butter

Cooking spray for waffle iron

For Assembly:

Dill pickles, sliced

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken tenders and buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for more flavor).

    Prepare the Chicken Coating: In another bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

      Bread the Chicken: Remove chicken from the buttermilk and let excess drip off. Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, coating evenly. Set aside.

        Fry the Chicken: Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken tenders in batches for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

          Make the Waffles: Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it with cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
