Ingredients

8 oz egg noodles

2 (5 oz) cans tuna in water, drained and flaked

1 cup frozen peas (thawed)

1 cup sour cream

1 cup cream of mushroom soup (you can use homemade or store-bought)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup milk

½ cup diced onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp dried dill

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 cup crushed potato chips (for topping)

2 tbsp olive oil or butter for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook Noodles: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Casserole Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked tuna, thawed peas, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well blended.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked egg noodles to the tuna mixture. Gently fold the noodles until they are evenly coated with the creamy mixture.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil or butter. Pour the noodle and tuna mixture into the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Add Topping: Sprinkle the crushed potato chips evenly over the top for an added crunch.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes to cool slightly. Serve warm and enjoy your homestyle tuna noodle casserole!
