Ingredients

1 large tortilla (whole wheat or regular)

4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

4 oz (115 g) sliced ham (your choice: smoked, honey, or black forest)

4 oz (115 g) shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or a cheese blend)

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions (optional)

1/4 cup chopped spinach or arugula (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Spread: In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. You should have a smooth and flavorful spread.

Spread the Mixture: Lay the tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the tortilla, ensuring you cover it all the way to the edges.

Layer the Fillings: Start layering the ingredients on top of the cream cheese spread. First, place the sliced ham evenly over the entire surface. Then, sprinkle the shredded cheese and add the chopped green onions and spinach if using.

Roll It Up: Starting from one edge, gently roll the tortilla tightly into a log shape. Keep it as tight as possible without squeezing out the filling.

Chill the Roll: Wrap the rolled tortilla in plastic wrap or parchment paper. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to set, which will make slicing easier.

Slice and Serve: Once chilled, remove the tortilla from the wrap and slice into pinwheels about 1 to 1.5 inches thick. Arrange on a platter and serve with your choice of dipping sauces, such as ranch or a honey mustard dressing.
