3/4 cup buttermilk (or substitute with milk + 1 tablespoon vinegar)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk (adjust for desired consistency)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin pan with paper liners or grease it lightly.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

      Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

        Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and lightly mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

          Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and softened butter to create a paste.

            Fill Muffin Liners: Spoon half of the muffin batter into each muffin cup, filling them about 2/3 full. Add about a teaspoon of the cinnamon filling on top of the batter in each cup, then cover with the remaining muffin batter.
